Citizen’s Right to Know


The public is invited to “Citizen’s Right to Know”, the topic of the next League of Women Voters of Pulaski County meeting.

The topic will be “All About the 2020 Census.” Dr. Pamela Willrodt, Senior Demographer at the Arkansas Economic Development Institute, will speak about the process, importance, and challenges associated with the 2020 Census.


Types of Events

Drinks and Dialogue
The topics vary and League members and the public are invited to participate in these events free of charge. Refreshments are available for purchase. 

Monthly LWVPC Meetings
General meetings usually take place in the evening on the third Monday of the month.  No meetings are held in July and August.

Annual Business Meeting of LWVPC (held in June)

At this important members-only meeting, we elect officers and directors, vote on positions, approve the recommended calendar, decide whether a study will be done, adopt the budget, discuss action items and enjoy refreshments.

Candidate Forums
Prior to local elections, the League hosts candidate forums. Some are sponsored by the LWV and others are hosted in partnership with groups that have requested them through the League's voter services.
